Pepper Tree Lane Two is a lively, colorful painting meant to depict the magic of French arcade galleries and bring to life a little bit of their charming atmosphere.

Such arcade galleries are usually found indoors, in a place where you can walk around and find anything you may be looking for, from restaurants and cafes to small boutiques and picturesque gardens. In France, such galleries are incredibly popular, as walking through one feels as if you have entered a whole new world, full of life, color, and the inviting smells of freshly baked pastry.

The painting itself shows a fragment of an arcade gallery, where a chocolate boutique is the main attraction. The walls are painted green and the facades of the boutiques are painted yellow, evoking a warm, inviting feeling. The whole painting feels like an explosion of colors, meant to represent the abundance of culture and the liveliness of French arcade galleries.

This advanced paint by number is fit for anyone looking for a challenging hobby to pursue. The numbered areas on the template are smaller and the details more intricate. With a larger number of colors and a bit of effort, you will have a vintage painting of a French arcade gallery in no time.

Robin Wethe Altman is an American artist, inspired by her surroundings and nature. As she lived most of her life in California, her paintings represent the beach and sandy sceneries with ships and beach chairs, the ocean in the background. Yellow and blue shades are dominant in Robin’s paintings. She loves to paint tiny houses, as they make her feel secure and happy. Now that she moved to North Carolina (United States), she is heartened by the mountains. Even though she knows how to use acrylic paint, she loves using watercolor paint, which gives all her paintings these magic faded tones of eternal holidays and a feeling of nostalgia. Her secret? Always finish your art, and have fun in the process.

This paint by numbers on canvas allows you to escape from your daily routine and dream of seascapes. This is a high-quality canvas with personalized paint made for this very unique painting that will make sure to take you to a sunnier place.

Your Patience Will Be Rewarded

This is one of the most difficult paintings I've done, definitely advanced. But, it is doable and definitely rewarding you for your patience and holding your interest all the way through. It has so much going on that you don't realize at first glance. As you work, you discover all the great little nuances that Robin Wethe Altman has included for us. All the different details with people and shops start to appear, along with the walkway that goes through to another street.

Best painting yet

This is my favorite paint-by-number I've done. The colors are vivid and it was a joy to find all the hidden parts in the painting. The frame at Ikea complements it nicely if anyone is looking for affordable painting frames. My only complaint or critique is the yellows in the painting were very transparent and needed multiple coats to cover the numbers.

Mini Surprises

This PBN has been a delightful surprise from start to finish! As I painted each section, I discovered the artist in the window, the waiter and male companion on the veranda, the kitty crossing the plaza, and the woman taking a rest. I loved the challenge of simplifying the design to match my beginner's talent and even changing up the color design a bit.
