'Profoundly Beautiful' is what comes to mind when you first catch a glimpse of the Dahlias with Red Cups painting by Donald Maier. The use of orange and blue shades in this painting makes it stand out. The vintage look and feel add an air of nostalgia when you look at it. It is like something that you would see hanging in a hall of a house in the 50s. It is a classic and timeless beauty.

This still life painting of a bouquet of Red and Pink Dahlias in a green vase with the faded blue paint in the background, the very detailed image of the wooden table, and all the elements of this painting beautifully come together to give you this artwork.  It depicts a scene from one’s daily life captured into a masterpiece of a painting. It is natural and believable and that is what makes it incredible to the eye.

Sunflowers paint by numbers are a favorite of a lot of our paint by number enthusiasts because of the certain feel and vibe that they give off. It’s like taking a trip down memory lane just by looking at the painting. It’s a memory of a feeling that no words can describe.

Donald Maier is an American artist who grew up by the sea in New Jersey (US). Naturally gifted painter from a family of artists and raised by the salty water, he is delighted by wild and natural landscapes, like oceanic sceneries. He loved nature and its beauty, and painting in the desert is one of his favorites as the colors dry faster. Optimistic, he recommends always paint something that you love and enjoying the process of doing it. As a symbol of his cheerful personality, he never painted in black but rather used dark green, blue or brown.

This paint by numbers on canvas with acrylic is a sort of meditation and really relaxes you taking your mind off your everyday life. This is a high-quality canvas with personalized paint made for this very unique painting that will make sure to take you to a beautiful place.

Donald Maier

Donald had a great passion for the wonders of nature and enjoyed capturing its beauty through his paintings. His family often accompanied him on his creative "painting vacations" to national parks, deserts, or the seaside, where they could all appreciate the stunning scenery together.

Fun Fact: his oil painting "The Spectator" was the only painting stolen at the state show at Rutgers University in 1974, and he was quite proud of that!

Needs more blue and brown

I enjoyed doing this painting and found it very meditative. However, I was frustrated to run out of two blues and one brown, and run very low on other colors. I had to do some color mixing to finish the painting, and the result was a few sections that look a little messy. I'm doing a paint by numbers specifically because I don't want to deal with that! My other complaint was some of the colors were goopy, and I wish more small paintbrushes were provided (I used the smallest brush the majority of the time and the second smallest a bit - the others were too big to be useful). All that said, I'm happy with my finished product and have no doubt that it is better quality than the alternatives I looked at.
