« La rue du chocolat » est une peinture vivante et chatoyante dont le sujet est une galerie commerciale composée de petites boutiques aux devantures colorées. Particulièrement populaire pour leur charme, ces galeries donnent l’impression d’entrer dans un autre monde, plus secret. Dans celle de la deuxième rue, on y découvre un magnifique poivrier recouvert d’une guirlande scintillante représentée par de petits points blancs. Robin Wethe Altman a peint de nombreux détails et a choisi une palette de couleurs vives. Cette peinture est en effet une explosion de pigments ! L’arbre central apporte une sensation de hauteur tandis que l’escalier accentue la profondeur dans la toile. Ce tableau plaira aux amateurs de décors animés !

This is one of the most difficult paintings I've done, definitely advanced. But, it is doable and definitely rewarding you for your patience and holding your interest all the way through. It has so much going on that you don't realize at first glance. As you work, you discover all the great little nuances that Robin Wethe Altman has included for us. All the different details with people and shops start to appear, along with the walkway that goes through to another street.
This is my favorite paint-by-number I've done. The colors are vivid and it was a joy to find all the hidden parts in the painting. The frame at Ikea complements it nicely if anyone is looking for affordable painting frames. My only complaint or critique is the yellows in the painting were very transparent and needed multiple coats to cover the numbers.
This PBN has been a delightful surprise from start to finish! As I painted each section, I discovered the artist in the window, the waiter and male companion on the veranda, the kitty crossing the plaza, and the woman taking a rest. I loved the challenge of simplifying the design to match my beginner's talent and even changing up the color design a bit.
This painting was not easy but so much fun. Everyday I found something new in the painting. Little things I hadn't noticed in the picture, The colors are wonderful and vibrant. If you want a challenge, buy this one!
